Tech Tycoon
Tech Tycoon: is a browser-based business simulation where you found and run a technology company. Start in **1970** or **2010**, create hardware and software, compete with rival companies driven by AI, and grow from a garage startup to a global powerhouse—or sell out and start again.
What you can do
- Create products: across 20+ categories: CPUs, GPUs, smartphones, PCs, robots, IoT devices, tablets, wearables, drones, EV batteries, operating systems, games, SaaS, apps, cloud and hosting, streaming, social networks, AI models, cybersecurity, and more.
- Customise each product: with features that affect quality, innovation, and profitability. Set prices within market-acceptable ranges—price too high and nobody buys.
- Compete with AI companies: that have distinct strategies (premium brand, disruptor, innovation leader, profit maximiser). They develop products, set prices, go public, and even acquire each other.
- Go public: list your company on the stock market, issue shares, and watch the price move with results and sentiment. Buy shares in other companies or acquire them outright.
- Acquire IPs or whole companies: to expand your portfolio. Discontinue acquired products if you want. Make **deals and contracts** with other companies (e.g. price fixing, partnerships).
- Hire teams: or work solo. Assign employees to projects; skill and team size affect development speed and quality.
- Track the market: see market share by category with pie charts and compete for dominance.
- Read the news: in-game headlines cover your company, the industry (rivalries, acquisitions, funding), and the world (economy, regulation, crises). News influences perception and context.
- Shape the world: lobby for regulation to hurt competitors in a category, or boost demand in your own. View **world and regional status** (economy, tech adoption, stability by region).
- Choose difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard, or Realistic—affecting starting cash, revenue, development speed, and AI aggression.
How it works
- Real-time: gameplay with a **pause** button. Time advances by days/months; you manage products, pricing, hiring, and strategy.
- Product lifecycle: products move from development → launch → growth → maturity → decline → end of life (like real products)
- Company valuation: reflects revenue, assets, and brand. Ownership percentage and IPO mechanics are modelled so the stock market feels connected to your decisions.
Look and feel
- Minimalist grey-toned: UI with a clean dashboard. No blue accents—focused, readable interface.
- Company logos: upload your own (PNG/JPG) or use initials. AI companies use real-style logos where possible.
- Fully playable in the browser: —no install. Works on desktop; best with a modern browser.
Whether you want to build the next big platform, crush the competition, or simply run a tech company your way, **Tech Tycoon** gives you the tools and the rivalry to make it interesting.
